I LOVE wooden ladders! I have a 5-ft one that I use when I fill my bird feeders and a little two-step one for other tasks requiring just a "lift." Your ladder tells a story, for certain!
Great shot!! Love old pieces of furniture with character.. it's like they've lived an entire life of their own, and like you said, with many stories to tell. :)
What a special gift form your husband...your own handmade stepladder. It looks like you have been putting it to good use. Like the color combination of the walls and window framing. Very nice. genie
Woof!
ReplyDeleteSo I see you painted the ladder as well.
I'm sure that ladder does have many stories to tell, It certainly looks well used!

ReplyDeleteI really don't like painting -- but my husband likes it less than I, so guess who gets to paint? :)
ReplyDeleteLots of character in the ladder...it does look like way more than just function now ;)
ReplyDeleteYour ladder is a work of art in its own way. Wonderful that your husband made it!
ReplyDeleteLooks as if you have been hard at work!

ReplyDeleteYup, there's lots of history in that ladder. Great picture, sure tells a tale or two.
ReplyDeleteSeems a good division of tasks: one builds the ladder, the other uses it :-)
ReplyDeleteI know which I would choose.
